I personally think its an excuse because he is afraid that baby isn't his.
I'm wondering more if he's afraid the baby IS his!!!
I agree with you, Karen. Seems to me like the reason he isn't pushing hard enough for the paternity testing is because he IS afraid this baby is his, and having that possible fact "solidified" means he will REALLY have to face what he has done with his life, as well as what he has done to his family.
