Okay, the pup in question actually has a MASSIVE, HUGE tail which actually knocks everything over when he wags. Which is often. Very often. And sometimes I even swoon when it really gets waggin'.

I got together with a friend last night while D was at Christmas Choir. He and H had gone to seminary together, were once fairly close, but in more recent years H has taken out his anger at priests/the Catholic Church on Fr. M. M has been livid about this whole thing (maybe because he was so supportive and helpful as we were getting married, etc.). At this point, he feels H is essentially a sociopath; has played all the systems he's ever been in and played them well. Is acting, along with wiccawoman, like a middle-school kid.
For some reason, altho I've thought these same things myself, it was as if someone took off my blinders. OMG--this is the second charming sociopath I've married and been devastated by. And as I look back at all the stuff we've been thru and his professional life, I can see it's true. If not a sociopath, he at least has had a bad case of narcissistic personality disorder. It's worse in the past 6 months, of course, but it's always been there.

Wow, Hoozh. I've always heard that people are continually attracted to the same kinds of people (sometimes, dysfunctional), over and over again, but I see it more and more on these boards. I guess that's why we have to work on ourselves, so that we don't do that again in the future, huh?
