lwb: Have you guys got Christmas worked out? Are you going to invite W over to spend it with you guys?
Yes we do, we use to have Christmas Eve over at our house, now W is having it at her dads, the kids and I will go over there Christmas Eve. Her dad and some close friends, same friends we will see Thanksgiving.
We talked several weeks back about Christmas morning, I told her I expected her over first think Christmas morning to be with the kids any me. I've been working on her presents, so the kids have something to give to her, after Christmas morning, off to church (without W, she won't want to go I'll ask though) and then to my moms house (W will not want to go over there for sure )

Something is going on with her. Guilt probably. Her coming for the kids, putting wreaths out, giving you a new bed quilt, etc. I'm glad you are focusing on you and the kids. That's what you need to do. Your kids are so lucky. They know that you are focused on them and their needs.

Yes I believe you are right WDID
We are going to Thanksgiving at a friend of her mom and dads, several other couples all friends of her dad will be their, they grew up together. W respects these people they are family. W was at my house when they came over for Hallaween and didn't leave until they did, now W wants to ride with me and the kids over to their house for Thanksgiving so we will show up with the kids together and leave together, I just want to tell her to drive herself over there otherwise its a half hour trip with me the W and the kids in the car

I would just tell her that you are more comfortable driving by yourself. There is no rule that says you have to go together. She has to feel some of the consequences.
Sorry just my take on it.

Thanks everyone, I'll talk to her tomorrow and tell her I'm uncomfortable with the idea of riding to the party together, and I will suggest that she might want to ride out with her dad. He is going and doesn't have anyone riding with him.
