So last night we did our "seems we go 2 days of not communicating and then hub comes to tell me something"..we talked about a Christmas present I wanted to get our son, then he was saying we should get some space heaters for the bedrooms (cause they stay cold..which was nice that he thought about that for me) and he even had looked at some online, so he had me pull them up on my computer and he showed me the ones..again that was nice (as his LL is acts of service).

Then he told me he was working every day this week, including Thanksgiving, and probably not to wait for him to eat (sigh..which is a bummer..but), probably I'll check with him as we would eat, because my daughter is also working that day until around 6, so I'll probably just be sure he's not done when she is?

He told me a few other random things and that was it..but..nice that he came to find me and tell ME stuff and not the other way around

Well, son and I are suppose to go to the WF game later today..tho DUDE it's cold out there..brrr..

Hope you enjoyed dinner last night, Tawnya!!! As time goes on you'll find more and more opportunities for getting together with new people and doing things you haven't done in a while. My only advice is to never turn down an offer for something that might be fun!!! Even if you don't feel up to it...you'll feel better if you force yourself.

The b'day party was so fun!!! In addition to competing on the GAL level, I might just be catching up to you in the "cool mom" department too!!!

I hate the cold, so, I'll be really impressed if you went to the game anyway.

Amy..yeah we went..but son didn't want to stay the whole game..it was REALLLLYYYYYY cold, even tho we were layered and bundled..no one really seemed to be having a fun time..everyone was in blankets and bundles LOL!

I have to tell you tho..a weird feeling came over me at the game..almost like my own MLC feeling of sorts..I was watching the cheerleaders and there were a few that had the guy cheerleaders make a "seat" for them on their laps, so they didn't have to sit on the ground..and it just really HIT me how much I gave up to be married to this man who now acts like he gave up/is losing so much by being with me now..does that make sense? I mean I was pretty smart in school, and had JUST graduated high school when I met hub, I could have gone to college, but I didn't, hub was in the military, and chose to marry him and go with him to Japan for a year while he was there, then I had my daughter, etc..flash forward 20 years..and here I am..

I've started and stopped a few times going back to our community college in the past 5 years, because, of course, I really can't afford one of the larger schools, and I don't mind the community college here at all..but I'm not sure what I want to do..so I feel like I don't want to waste the money on it..

Sigh..I dunno..it just hit me really weird how much I gave up for HIM..and didn't regret it, but then for him to turn around and say, gee I need to be "rid of you for me to be happy" just really..sigh..hits me in the gut!

I get to play perfect happy flippen family on thanksgiving, cooking for HIS family! oh you have no idea how that rips me lol! oh well, I love his mom, so I will MASTER the kitchen and food as I do every year, and LMFAO at the ow who cant cook heheh!

I am sorry you are feeling down. You are a wonderful person with an amazing soul. Remember what MWD says in the book about why our spouses say miserable things - because unhappy people see life through unhappy lenses and they say these awful things.

I have those moments, too. Yesterday at lunch one of the partners in my firm was talking about his 21 year old son who just met his girlfriend and I suddenly felt really old. I know I am not at all, I just felt like life gets away so fast.

As for school, there are an incredible number of scholarships out there, you would be amazed. I suggest going to the library to find one of the many books that list available scholarships. See if there might be something for you!

I wish I knew WHAT I wanted to do..if that makes sense..it's different now at almost 40 than at 18 isn't it? LOL..Plus, unfortunately or fortunately, I have to think about the fact my daughter is ALSO getting ready to start going to college and her tuition..but you are right..I want/need to do something, take a class in SOMETHING..I already missed normal enrollment, but I think in January I may try to enroll in a class or 2 again, I have always loved school and have missed being there the last year..

As far as the cool mom thing..LOL..sometimes yes, sometimes no eh? Ask my son and daughter and sometimes you get the yes and sometimes the no

OK..so I'm definitely weirding out now..

Hub just came home and I asked if he was going back out and he said he wasn't (which is the first in a while on a Sat he's home early)..and was asking what he wanted for dinner, so then he asked if I had been to Walmart yet and I said "no, we'd been at the ball game all afternoon" and he said "do you want to go (me and him and son) to get something to eat and then look at the heaters we talked about?" ok..so now hub, son, and I are going out to dinner and walmart..THIS is the first in 6 weeks..wow!
