YR, Tell your father to enjoy the boredom for now. He needs all of the rest and pampering he can get right now in order to heal properly. He's got plenty of time to be up and about in the months ahead. I'm very, very happy to see that he is home once again.
Your h is one of those who recovered, but came out w/some nice little additives. I think you'll find that there are more of those nice little additives as you both begin to share more and more of the daily activities that were once "all yours".
