Since I have sole custody (at the moment), we're starting to talk about where we'd like to live when it's all over. Lately, I'm feeling a need to be closer to my family, away from Portland. Of course, I'll need to wait for the Judge's take on things, but now that my job is in peril, I realize I can start over anywhere I want (assuming I retain full custody).
Jobs come and go (unfortunately, I learned this in 2006) but no one will ever love these kids the way I do. So, if I get fired, we'll just start over. That simple.
For the first time in many years, I feel like I have a say in what happens to me. And that makes me smile. \:\) Peace.
