My h is not the type to "check in" to say he made it back from somewhere and I think this is part of the mlc.
I am not sure if they think of them calling as common courtesy and may instead think of it as checking in and they don't always like to do that.
I think it would be a nice gesture if he would call and tell you he got here okay but they don't think like we do.
