Hi Jayce - Yes I do miss having a newspaper sometimes. I used to subscribe to Investor's Business Daily. When I got out of stocks a few years ago decided to stop the subscription. I was just reading the editorials then and went to the internet for them. I guess a really good PDA, blackberry or iPhone with wireless internet access and a decent sized screen would be the ultimate... as long as your eyes are good enough to see it.
I'll do the foot massage experiment for you but I am guessing it won't do the same thing for a guy. I might try it tonight. I want to try for one last time before I'm put out of commission for a week or so. For me the area that connects to "down there" is the back of my neck. If my neck is lightly stroked just tickling the hairs.... wow!
I do know to give her space when she needs it, it's just that we were out to dinner that night when it happened.

Hey everyone! So far so good, I'm still alive! I just got back form the Doc. and no problems so far. I'll keep you posted as things go along.
The procedure itself was the easiest part. The only discomfort there was the stick to administer the anesthetic, not bad at all. Right now I think I will take a pain pill as the anesthetic appears to be wearing off now and I can feel a bit of discomfort.
Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts. It means a great deal to me that you all give me your support.

Hey, I'm so happy for you and I just know its all going to be just fine. Though I can totally understand your hesitance for so long, I mean....wow, who wants to even contemplate any procedure being done on such a sensitive and important area!?
As you know, my guy is basically not informed at all, afraid, hasn't even checked into it because of the mental fear involved with such a procedure (which I know you understand as you've been putting this off for a long time). In our case, I think its going to end up being me doing a tubal lig. I'm going to check into that next summer.
So glad to hear you are doing well! Still praying for the rest of your recovery!!
DQ - Yes, the "guy" version is a quick 30 minutes procedure, local anesthesia only. I was talking to the Doc and nurse during the whole thing. It was done in his office. WAY easier than the cataract (eye) surgery I had done a few years back. Now that was *scary*.
Unfortunately no luvin' last night. I did get a nice back rub though and we snuggled some before going to sleep. One comment she made says it all.
"H, I don't understand why you still can't keep your hands off of me."
Oh yeah , and glad to see you are doing ok! I am making homeade chicken noodle soup for my kids.... shall I ~DHL ~ you some? It is 20 degrees here right now... bRRRRRRR~
Ava - Chicken soups, yes! You think it would still be warm? lol

"H, I don't understand why you still can't keep your hands off of me." I think this goes back to her thinking of us as two old undesirable "folgies". When I am stroking her back, to me, it is just as it was when I first met her, I just love touching her.
I don't think she will ever understand how much desire I still have for her. I guess she just doesn't think of me in the same way so doesn't comprehend the way that I feel for her.
Jayce - I almost forgot..... along with the back rub last night I requested a foot massage to try out your are-guys-the-same theory. For me the "pedi-penile" connection just isn't there. It didn't do a thing to excite me that way. It did feel nice though. Like I said, the neck area does much more for me. You'll need more research subjects before reaching a conclusion. Of course you know we are all connected differently. One works for one person may not for the next.
I am just impressed that she GAVE YOU a foot massage! BJs, backrubs and foot massages, oh my (sung to the lions, tigers song). Great job.
No matter how good you feel, don't do anything physical for 3 days. I have friends who felt so good that by the second day they mowed the lawn and golfed. Major pain followed.
