After spending the last 3 days reading, taking notes, organizing, and highlighting, I spent an hour talking about my three questions. Afterwards the committee seemed really lighthearted and happy. My cello teacher atold me she was SO PROUD. She asked if I had a photographic memory and I said, no, I just spent a lot of time organizing the material!! She also told me she learned a lot from my presentation. We sat around and sort of debriefed on the whole experience.

I celebrated by getting a calzone for lunch, and then lounging with my cello friends, and took the rest of the day "off".
On the way back from the grocery store I almost biked over a dark spot in the road which turned out to be a very confused injured little bird. Called the animal rescue people and waited with little bird which kept trying to flop itself back into the road, but then a grumpy animal rescue man finally arrived to take the bird to a vet and a rehabilitation center.
Then I came home and took a four hour nap.
When I passed my orals I felt a strong urge to call B and scream with excitement but instead I called my family.

Yes, I think it is a really big change that he texted me! the only other times he contacted me unprompted were: the package with the key; recommending 1800contacts to me (1.30 am email); asking for a recipe in september. So, the text made me really excited! I will call him soon, maybe after I am done with my piano exam on monday? or over thanksgiving? which is next week for you brits who don't do the annual celebration of pilgrims and indians sharing a harvest feast together.

WELL DONE ON THE EXAM !!!! You work so hard by the sounds, so you deserve it. I am sure he will be very excited and pleased for you when he hears a) how your recital went b) that you passed your oral with flying colours and c) your piano exam went AMAZING (as I am sure it will).
I bet he would actually really like to know, he is passionate about music like you are and he cares for you and would want to know that you passed and did well?

((K)) you know, the Grumpy Animal Rescue Man almost accidentally ran over the little bird when he pulled his rescue van up onto the curb. It was totally scary (to me and Little Bird, who actually flopped out of the way by a few inches). I wanted to berate Grumpy Rescue Man, but because he had come to help I said nothing. I also was inspired to help the little bird because my family saved a baby morning dove and now it follows them around. They call it "tweetie" because my Mom needed to give it a name when she signed it in at the shelter and she didn't now if it was a girl or a boy... I love my family

I agree with all of you about upping the frequency of contact.
I was also thinking about his recent text versus his other "good luck in your performance" email back in June. In June he was REALLY warm, it was like something he would have written to me when we were together. This time the text, with the same kind of message, sounded very cautious. I wonder if that's because I asked if I could call him for advice and then I never called? Or some other reason he feels more cautious? WTF knows?
Something weird happened this morning that really freaked me out even though it probably doesn't mean anything. I use gmail for my email and there is a feature where you can upload a picture of yourself and when someone's mouse passes over your email address, the picture displays.
Long before the bomb, B uploaded a picture he had taken of himself with this very sexy flying angel lady carved statue (with bare bosoms!!) I had brought him from my trip to Bali. In the picture it looks like the lady is flying out of his mouth. Until REALLY RECENTLY he kept the same picture on his gmail account, and I wondered if it was just because it was a really cool picture, or if it meant something because it was with the barebreasted flying angel sculpture I had given him.
Then this morning my mouse accidentally passed over his name and completely different picture displayed... a new one with A BIG BUSHY BEARD, no flying angel lady, and just him looking at the camera. His beard is so big you can't even read his expression!! WTF DOES THIS MEAN??? Is he trying to tell me something?? at least with the big Man of the Mountain beard I know he is "probably" single because it looks SO UN KISSABLE.
Man, I wish I was snuggling in his (once very) loving arms instead of engaging in neurotic conjecture brought on my a random encounter with this Beard Picture... of course, we would need to get out the Beard Trimmer before I could REALLY start snuggling

Hi T First - congrats on passing the oral exam! You did so well.
Second - you are being crazy about him changing his photo. It means absolutely nothing. Except that he is hairy, and that the lovely T wouldn't want to kiss such a hairy monster! Ha!
Lovely T, if that makes you scared, nervous and wanting to puke, then I think you might be in a bit of denial about your situation... What are you really afraid is happening?
Whatever is the worst thing that could happen I'm sure you are strong enough to deal with it.
