I was just telling my S15 today; he was saying how marriage sucks etc. and people leave and adultery, etc. (I told the therapist about all this) and I said but yeah, there's some people like me that you can't get rid of no matter what you do!!! So hopefully he'll realize that too! S15 is seriously depressed about the divorce apparently, says he doesn't like OW (what a shocker huh) and stuff. Glad he's seeing a therapist, but wish he didn't have the flaky dad. The C was saying how people have to go through crisis and stuff & it can help us grow, but geez wish the kids could just be kids a couple more years.
The black velvet painting was a gift H gave to D9 for her birthday. It's one of those black velvet paintings, didn't know they had Elvis, that one might not be so bad, but you know I've seen the dogs playing poker on black velvet. They sell them on the street corner around here, not in an actual store. H's painting is of the Roadrunner, but I had to tell D9 who that was, I think his popularity was more when we were kids. H's and OW's gifts (whistles, flutes, etc.) seem designed to irritate me more than please D9, but I get a kick out of the black velvet painting. I feel like it indicates their taste in art (or maybe lack of taste).
Oh, yeah, my L is scary. Everyone I meet in town has horrifying experiences with her. I almost emailed H today wishing him luck tomorrow (I actually felt sorry for him for a sec), but I wisely didn't! Karen

You know I have been looking through several of your latest posts and not a single question mark. Your confidence is building and starting to show through. I am really proud of you and how far you have come. I know you have been here longer but almost 8 mths for me...who would have thought I would still be here even after the D? Well of course I am not dealing with probable B, hey I have my own alphabet mess brewing!!

I got it today so I'm set! Got popcorn, etc. Anytime is fine with me. I think H will be dropping the kids off tomorrow night some time but not sure when.
The L is deposing H while I type this 3 to 4 or 4:30 she said so I'm going to leave now and do errands, take the kids to the park and library. I plan to drop them off when we get home and leave b/c H should be here. Can't imagine he'd be in a good mood. Ciao for now!
Hey I am getting ready to go see "Twilight" with some friends. I am already tired but am so excited to have 9 days off, holiday or not!! Woohoo! do you want to try for around 2 your time?

Sounds great Kat! I need a movie night (or afternoon I guess). H had the depo today. My L called and said he outright lied for example when she asked him about the crying/screaming of D9 (she cried/screamed 8-9 hours a day from birth until about age 4, he said no she didn't. Then the L cleverly asked him why did you take her to her psych. then and she's been on meds ever since. He said b/c she was hand-flapping. As if I would take her to a psych and put her on meds for that!!!
Plus, he is living with OW all but the one night a week he has the kids. Guys, she's still married too--but he said she's getting D also. The L said she and the court reporter wanted to strangle him by the end of the depo and I asked why? She said b/c they thought he was so creepy. I've had friends and others who met him this past year say he's creepy, too so I guess I'm married to a creepy slutty guy, well not for long.
So I enjoyed today practicing with Jamie's flute the old 99 bottles of beer on the wall song. With a loud flute blast every time the beer falls. I guess D9 told him, so he said he's going to keep the flute at his house now for safe-keeping. He just thought of that now?
S15 lectured me on being petty b/c I reminded D9 not to forget her flute and the special song. Ok, his parents suck as role models, let's face it!!!
I think H was clearly pissed. Saying your L's a trip several times. I said I know her, there's nothing you could tell me about her. We were both acting faky friendly. I gave him a big old friendly fake Hi and Bye have fun when I saw him that minute or 2. It was the best I could do under the circumstances. Karen
