I will cry with you Hope, I know that is always a very hard choice. When it was time for my horse to be put down it was one of the hardest things I have dealt with.

WCW- Glad it was a nice soft snowbank you landed in. I always hated it when the horses came in and had the wet snow frozen on their coats, it was so hard to get off without pulling. I went through a lot of old hair dryers trying to get it off!

I did talk to H about it, I figured he had a right to know, he has lived with the little fella for 13 years too. Anyway, he was pretty sympathetic and did try to get me to put it off.

Did not want me sitting around and crying alone all weekend. On the other hand, I know that it has to be done and I just want to get it over with.

hugs namesake!! if the doggie is in pain, i dont think its fair to put it off. I hate seeing suffering.

Actually, sometimes a good long cry is healthy!! and you will have a weekend in peace to start reading the books!!

Yes. I agree. I guess it was when he fell down the stairs last night that I really decided it was time.

Oh welllll. Thinking also about getting some of my decorations out. Maybe snowmen etc. Since we have snow here it'll fly.

Hi friends,

They just got on the road, and the sendoff was very nice. I was not sure how it would go, but H was very concerned and loving. He asked if I was going to be alright this weekend and said he hoped that I would get out and hoped that I would not sit at home crying.

We had some very good conversation today and at one point I told him that I was glad this year was almost at an end. I told him that the year had been terrible and I hoped that the dog's death would be the end of it. He hugged me and said yes, you have had a bad year, I think you could write a country song about it. Wow! That was the first time that he has come close to admitting that the hurt I've gone thru has even existed.
