W is still sick, maybe mending a bit, but she doesn't sound good. She has a class tomorrow, and works Thursday. She's off Friday. If she goes to work Thursday, I think I'll leave the letter on her pillow that evening. Who knows what happens after that!
Chiming in with kudos on the final draft of the letter. Very spot on without the anger from the original version. I truly hope it helps to get some communication started with your W.
Did you decide how to sign it? "I love you" seems odd and strong at the end of a letter like that, so if you hand wrote "Love, Jeff" it still portrays feelings without being so very personal. Make sense?
Such odd weather here yesterday, snow and sun at the same time but I couldn't find a snowbow!

I'll have to think a bit about the sign-off. I kind of like the "shock" that is in the "I love you." And it seems to me to emphasize that my choice is to work on the M. And it makes it clear that I'm not just signing, "Love, Jeff" like any other letter. Not that I do, but if I did!
I did buy a new jacket last night, but I don't need it today!
