That is so great that your recital went well and that B texted!! I'm so excited for you. He just did something a friend would do... stage 2! I reckon you are almost there and that is because you have been amazingly patient and then been your wonderful self with him. Also a text isn't planned like an email, it is a kind of throwaway type thing which means you are in his thoughts
I think you did right not eliciting/ hinting at a response. Shows your GALing but still appreciating his efforts.
I thought perhaps after you have finished your exams and stuff you may be able to initiate a meet up? What do you reckon?
