I'm getting ready to board the plane for Dallas. Had trouble getting out of bed this morning...not cause I was tired...cause I literally had trouble moving my legs!!! I'm taking the rest of the week off, and them I'm getting serious about training for my next 1/2 marathon.

What can I say? You know, me and another D DAM at work sometimes lament (facetiously) that maybe we should "play" for the other team. I told him that I can't be the feminine one.
I ended up staying home from work myself today. Had a moderate pain in my abdomen that wouldn't go away. I won't go into the details; but I did see my doctor; I was fearing appendicitis. However, I never got nauseous and, ironically, the pain started to subside after I arrived at his office. My secretary called me just now to check on how I was doing and told me that she had the same thing on Sat. One of the other girls at work said that her mother and niece also had it. So maybe it's viral. I hardly ever get sick and this was a feeling that I hadn't felt since the last time I got punched in the stomach; so I was like, "OMG, I got cancer." So hopefully it's nothing.
Spent the day at home..taking a nap..W was here all day..
She tried to help me but I told her that I was fine. I could manage. The W is picking up the kids from after-school care and taking them out to eat and shopping. Santa Mom is in da house.
