I think that it's pretty important that your H is still maintaining physical contact with you. Touch in all of it's forms is such an important part of a R. Besides the kissing, have you noticed that your H is making steps in touching or being touched by you? The "nuzzling" and leaning into you sounds like a good thing. He did not jerk away or avoid you.
I know that the Holdiays are apt to be hard for H this year. The good thing is that he still wants to be around my family and our sons.
