1.5 hours from MA to NH to eat with D18 last night. Of course it rained..why wouldn't it?
When I met her, I put it out there about the money. I simply said "You stole money from me, you lost my trust, and it's frustrating". Let's go eat. What else to do? Your advice was helpful. She has been through a lot of shi* as well. Her brutally controlling mother, her addiction and all the assorted lying and anger that goes with it, and me trying to leave planet Earth when I learned of the divorce.
D18 unloaded on STBX. I just let her vent as long as it wasn't destructive. She told me that Smarmylaywerboss, who bought D16 a Jeep and re-did my basment when I was in Iraq still wears his wedding ring, even at "our house". She laughed as she said "He's physically, but not emotionally married". She related how she attacked STBX and told her "You're nothing but a mistress", at which STBX got upset. Welll? She stated "How could Mom let him buy D1 a Jeep and not me?" I know why..she was an addicted mess of a kid, but why STBX would let the Smarmster buy ANYONE a Jeep is beyond me. She had the orbs to ask me for a copy of my military ID when I was in Iraq for the $500 Jeep Veteran discount. Uh...no bit&h.
I told D18 the whole thing was pathetic. I wasn't angry or jealous, but it was just pathetic. She stated how when Smarmy came into her deli in the summer where she worked, her boss said..."THAT'S him?"
I'm fully aware D16 can just be playing me like a well-worn set of castenets!
D18 stated STBX is in "midlife crisis". On the "Emotional IQ scale" D18 is a genius. STBX once would not talk to a guy down the street who left his wife and 2 daughters to marry his current wife. Said he was "slimy"...her words. The worm has turned! BTW Ellie, I have two drug tests for the return home. Happy Holidays!
