I just have to post quickly cause I had the coolest experience just now. I get to the airport in San Antonio and I have to wait for the hotel shuttle. I get on (finally) and there's another woman on there about my age. As we arrive at the hotel she asks the driver how she can get to the dome tomorrow to pick up her race packet. He tells her take the bus and a cab back if it's after dark.
So, when we get inside, I introduce myself and say that my friend is driving in and she's welcome to ride with us tomorrow. She's traveling by herself. So, she says great and we exchange room numbers. But, they gave me the wrong room number. So, when I finally get to the room, I call her to give her the real room number. She says that she's going downstairs for dinner and asks if I'd like to join her. I do (since friend is going to be really late)! Turns out she's going through D...her H cheated on her 3 times. She caught him the last time in June and filed right after.
She's also a Christian and is struggling with the idea of D. We had a great talk! I told her about DB and even loaned her my DR book that was in my suitcase. I also invited her to join us here...don't know if she will, but we'll see!
Everyday I have more and more experiences that remind me that while I may not see it, God's at work in my sitch. He may not have the outcome planned that I would like...but, He's here and He's active!!! To be reminded of that was awesome...something I surely needed today!

Amy, I think that sometimes God allows us to use our own experiences for the benefit others. That, I believe, builds ourselves up so that we may have strength for our own hard times.
God does work in mysterious ways and doesn't give us any more than we can handle. Those sound like cliches; but it always seems to hold true.
Hey, ya'll!!!! I just got back from the race. I finished the 1/2 marathon without any medical attention!!!! I ran the first mile for MC...he asked, and it was the only one I was certain I would be able to run!! But, I did run more...in fact, I think I met my goal of running 10 miles total throughout the race. So, the rest of my steps were for all my other friends here!!!
I finished in 2:43:27! For me, a very slow runner, that was great. In fact, when I signed up, my goal was 2:50:00. So, I did even better than that! And, considering I did walk quite a bit, my finishing pace was also better than expected.
I'm doing this again...in fact, it may be my new hobby. It was so fun! There were bands at each mile marker and there were tons of supporters cheering us on throughout the race.
Tonight I'm going with my friend who met me here and the new friend I met the other night to have steak, a loaded baked potato, and a large margarita before we head to the Cult concert.
I'll have some time in the morning before I fly home to check in on everyone. I hope you all had good weekends.
