It's good to hear you're doing well. And yes, going away doesn't make all one's troubles magically disappear, but you knew that already and have maintained an admirably healthy attitude about it all along. I commend you.
It just takes time. (As I have to constantly remind myself.)
((((Hugs))))
Oh, and as for the drink, I'll take whatever is traditional over there. Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa? (Just joking.)
<EDIT: Oops, I thought for a second this was the start of a new thread. Nevermind.>
Hope, I'm so glad you posted!!! I've been wondering how your new life was going. Sounds very interesting. What a rare oppurtunity to have such a once in lifetime experience. Definitely, what you needed.
I think I totally understand what you mean about being lonely where you don't know anyone as opposed to being lonely where you know everyone. You don't have to wonder what everyone is thinking everytime they see you out "alone".
You are right, you have not only survived, but thrived in a big way!!!
Keep us posted and let us live vicariously through you! How much longer will you be there?
Hugs, Yoyo

Still living the life in Switzerland :-)....or something like that. The weeks are winding down until I head back to the States and back to my life. This has been a great experience to just get away for awhile and really find out what I've made of. It's hard to put into the words how it feels to walk around on a daily basis not knowing what anyone is saying. It's an experience that most Americans never get.
Found out today that I may have my first encounter with OW shortly after I get back at a birthday party. Guess I just have to make sure I look fabulous and of course, act with the same dignity I always have.
Hope everyone is well.

Hey, girl. Just read through your thread. Haven't stopped by over here in awhile. I think you are so lucky to be doing what you're doing right now! You will never regret the opportunity to see & do something different and something that most people will never experience.
Things are going well w/ me. H & I are still together & doing well. He's TDY again for 6 wks, so it's just me & the boys, but we're doing ok.
