SIL is 180 out from the W. She does not exhibit any of the traits that my W does; so it kinda thwarts the thought that these personality traits of BPD are totally environmental. She's a few years younger than my W; so 1) she doesn't remember life with her father in the same house, as does my W; 2) she was the baby, so her R with her mother was probably different.
We've talked at length several times since the W went to rehab in 2006 about my W. SIL came up to OH to take care of the kids when the W first went in the hospital. SIL doesn't understand the behavior but has witnessed it for some time. She doesn't like it either. She's a very devout family person who is active in her church. Basically, W is treating my just she has her past boyfriends. W doesn't feel that our R is any different than those.
