You'll be walking again soon enough....gingerly....within a few days. I had mine on a Friday and was able to return to the office again on the following monday --> albeit, not climbing stairs, not running down the hall, or especially, NOT plopping down into chairs. \:\)

As I said before, stock up on a couple of bags of frozen peas, and over the weekend after the procedure, make them your very best friends. Your wife may even get jealous over all the 'cuddle time' those peas will get from you over those few days. ;\)

I'd guess that within a couple of weeks, you'll be able to resume your exercise walking, although a nice, 'bouncing' jog may still be uncomfortable.

You only have to go through it once, and within 6-8 weeks, your testing will be done and you'll be cleared to walk the wire without a net, for a change.

Perhaps I need a mew metaphore....
