There is pretty good free tubing/sleding a few hundred yards up from the White river canyon parking lot. Skibowl and Mount Bachelor have tubing lifts! Still not enough snow.
I am thinking about trying snow boarding for the first time this year. It should equalize me with GF40 who has tried snow boarding once. I will also try to get my kids to ski on their own - holding one of them between my legs with my telemark skis gets me totally worn out by the end of the day.
