Okay...so, just in case you think I opened that can of worms...when I said "legally" I was thinking along the lines of a settlement that required that she continue meeting with IC and taking ADs if required...maybe some way of saving the kids from constant disappointments!

I just got creeped out by the thought of it. When MIL and I discussed it in 2006 we both were in "fix it" mode where we both thought we knew what my W needed. It backfired on us and caused a lot of resentment for my W. I know now that was not productive bahavior and I don't want to presume that she needs committed.
No offense was taken by me from anyone. All of you guys are friends. I just wanted to steer away from that talk. Besides we all know, especially that she exhibits bizarre behavior and I'll still talk about that.
In conclusion, just so everyone knows; I'm not mad or upset. It's just ME that doesn't want to discuss that subject.
Parent/teacher conference went well. S is doing great in school. They don't do letter grades here for 2nd grade. Hey I'm in KY; what do you expect?
I mentioned to his teacher the sitch at home. She said that S had not mentioned it nor had she seen any evidence of it in his behavior. She did thank me for making her aware of it so that she can be tuned in if his behavior changes.
So before I left work early; I started a pool to bet on whether or not the W would show for the conference. My side was "No." Looks like I'm in for some money. I had a side bet as to whether or not she would call me and let me know; no one took that bet. She didn't call me; but I called her upon the teacher's request. She couldn't get off work as they had some call-outs today and they were short-handed.
But listen to this; she said that she's coming home after work and she'll be home tomorrow too. WOW!!! She's going to give up her Wed. night bar trip to executive night????? ACTIONS.... that's what I'll wait to see.
Glad it went well!!!! Glad S is doing okay and not showing signs of trouble!
Sorry she didn't show, but it might have made the whole thing harder for you if she had. Hope you won lots of money...but, probably not. I know I wouldn't have taken that bet.
Hope she remembers to bring the kids toys home when she shows!!! That could be another bad scene if not.
And, a cute, single teacher? Sounds okay to me! Or maybe you are getting like me...lonely...I actually thought the phone guy who came to our office today on a service call looked pretty good. In fact, I gave him my card when he expressed interest in our company! What was I thinking??? Oh, I know, but I can't say!!!
