Getting ready to file bankruptcy! So he is acting like the best parent ever buying the kids stuff as if I don't get them anything. I think I actually have a pretty good job considering that I worked at a bank for 7 years and ended up at $10.50 an hour! I am doing as well as when I was a flight attendant and my boss is pretty accommodating.

I am up for a raise December 1st. We will see where that gets me. Even with cutting back because he isn't paying his share of the bills, I need a second job to make it. I haven't decided anything for certain but know that I don't feel as awful if I need to go the way I don't want to.

I guess one way to look at this Karen is if your H all of a sudden stopped paying any of your bills and your name was on them too. Even though he may be assigned those debts by a court, the creditors would come after you and you would need to find a way to pay or file B. What would you do?

that could happen to any of us I guess. I'm just thinking there are certain physical and time limitations with being a mom and working, I mean is it possible for you to get a 2nd job and be able to do everything you need to do. In my mind you would be trying to do 3 jobs and that doesn't seem very feasible. Is your H even doing this possibly b/c he expects you to fix the situation? I know my H thinks that way anyway. It could be. I have always been the "fixer". I will not be actively seeking that role in its full context in any future relationships I have.

Yes it would be like having 3 jobs and I only suggest it because even though ex did have a second job on the weekends while we were together,he thinks it is below him now that he is single. He has a ton more free time than I do. Oh wait that would take time away from skank...silly me, what ever was I thinking??

OMG I feel so sick. Two bills of ex's I had to let go today. I could cover it now but then I would be scrambling next week to pay 2 of my own. My boss stopped me,he knows the whole situation, and said it would be throwing that money away. Look how much you have to work to make that money. You aren't getting any return on it! This is killing me guys. I never thought it would come to this.

Hey Kat thinking of you

love the comment: " Oh wait that would take time away from skank...silly me, what ever was I thinking??"

I'm sorry your ex isn't a MAN

You really need to go talk to someone, I know in STL there are some free credit counseling services, When I was on the Finance Committee at church there was one we referred everyone to, I cannot remember the name, the point being, you need to find out what rights you have before any "B"

I'm keeping you in my prayers and I would be interested in what you guys pick out for movie night

I feel so bad for you Kat! ((((Kat))))) I am glad that your boss stopped you. I don't like the idea of you basically would be bailing out your X, and then not be able to meet your actual bills. I am thinking that's what your X is hoping that you'll do though. Do you think there's a chance if you don't/can't pay his bills for him, that he would grow some and pay his own bills or is he just too lost do you think? (Maybe we need to watch a funny movie???)
