What are you up to this week, friend? We have parent/teacher conferences, so I am outta there early all week! Also, no kids this weekend...

So sorry to hear about D18.

Going to MA to Reserves this weekend. Was going to go to NH and take D18 to dinner. I have serious reservations about that now after she stole money from me after I already gave her some (previous posts). She called twice yesterday. I am too angry/dissapointed to talk I think she has absolutely no conscience. I hope she is not back to her old drug-involved days..Ugh.

My 430 wakeup is as bad as your 1124 postings!

Getting to the truth is so hard. When my D18 was young I always said I wanted her to be able to tell me the truth; that that was more important than the consequences. I always wanted her to call if/when she was in trouble....no questions asked. Of course, that was easier when she was 8 instead of 18.

Is there a way to tell your D18 that you are upset because you care about her?....worried that she might be using drugs again.
Can you do a drug test next time she is home?.....heard you can pick up a drug test at the drug store (that sounds funny).

On top of all of that worry, are you meeting the mediator today? Good luck! Stay strong!!!

Ugh. That sucks with D18. I hope she is just adjusting to living on a school budget, which can be pretty hard. I can see how you are doubly disappointed, not only that it appears she took the money but lied about it.

On a happier note, Happy Veteran's Day.

D18 called to wish me a happy Veteran's Day, and still denied taking the mony. No other explanation. It was there Friday, gone Sunday. No sign of forced entry, S10 had no idea it was there. It must be Jedi Mind Tricks!

Mattie, The maid is writing this post! Life goes on, although I feel fairly flat......no emotion about anything.

Being a parent is hard enough, and dealing with all the extra stuff alone makes it that much worse! My D18 had a blow up at school and states that she isn't going back. I told her she needed to talk to her dad (as well as the guidance counselor). Of course, I'll be blamed!!!

Hope things at work are going well!!! Can you plan something to do with your son after school?.....he'll get you feeling better!
