I think it's important to remember that we all feel things in a flash of irritation...but realize the other person meant well later. So she probably was like, Good God, I can drive in traffic, H!!! And then before she left thought, well he just said that because he cares.
My H reacts to um...everything...poorly...but his "second" thoughts are usually better.
