In a strange way it helps that I ask God to take over the load for the night so that I might " see or hear" what he wants me to do. I am not overly religious but I have faith and it makes feel not so alone. He hasn't shown me the way out of this yet, maybe he is just as boggled as I am.

Thanks Corey and Yoyo. I will be seeing a L, I can only handle get confused by one at a time, tonight. He actually deals with Bankruptcy. He doesn't do the suing that I may be talking about but he gives a free consultation and may help give me some insight. Let's cross our fingers.
I haven't totally given up on ex trying to work through this with me but it looks like only a small chance. It would make so much more sense. he said to me today, "you want to be in this for another 3 to 4 years?" I said no but it is better than messing ourselves up for 10.

The L was very nice. No pressure though of course is in favor of bankruptcy since that is the law he practices. Just made it not seem as horrible as I thought. Feeling kind of peaceful at the moment.

Did he give you any insight on how a D settlement would be handled in BK? Or did he suggest one filing before the other?
