Interesting. So H showed up before church today and told D8 that he was going to be sitting in the back and see her sing and she did the handbells (with the other older girls). I think he might have left after she sang, b/c we were one of the first out of the church and H was home in jeans already. Don't know if H changed his mind or thought it was good for legal reasons or what, but I'm so glad he did. She was so happy she said to have "both parents" there. A year ago, that would have been no big deal to her!
I asked to talk to him about S14's birthday gift for tomorrow. We've had him just pick out his own gift since he was a teen, and asked him if he was going to do that with H today (b/c he's not going to see him tomorrow). S14 wants a Wii game of course! He acted kind of like why do you want to talk to me? Don't know why he has to be like that--believe me I talk to him as little as possible!!! He said he wanted to take S14 out to dinner tomorrow for his birthday and kind of like he was expecting a fight from me and saying you'll have him all day like justifying that, and I was just fine about that of course. I like him to spend time with the kids since they love him so much!
He looked like crap again today, grayish and balding. I think his exterior is now kind of closer to matching his interior (I used to think him very good-looking). I think some of it is reality, but I think I've taken the rose-colored glasses off too.
I just realized, I wonder if H was there for the sermon? It was a patriotic sermon and the Pastor started it out kind of oddly talking about how easy it is for people to take others for granted and families to be disposable. Then the rest was patriotic about Veteran's day. The pastor has met H so wonder if that was aimed at H or just coincidence???? Weird.
H just called to tell me he's going to take them to dinner and lunch today, so won't take him out tomorrow. Said fine with me. Don't know why that needed a call. But then WAS make no sense I think most of the time!!!
It's a gorgeous sunny day today in the 70's here. Loving it! Have the afternoon free now, but 4 hours of Bible study and Bible class tonight at 6. Hope everyone is having a good day today! Karen
