No news here....Dan got in around 1 am. Fell asleep on the living room floor, didn't come to bed until 6:00 a.m. But as I lay there and listened to his breathing, I decided that it didn't matter when he came to bed, he came to bed. Slow and steady...
OH, and I had fallen asleep on the couch, so when H came in it woke me up. He lay on the floor b/c I was on the couch. I got up to go to bed after we chatted for a bit. I said good night, ILY and he said ILY2.
Nothing to write home about, but better than a kick in the head...
Kids and I are off to the great big mall today (It is the biggest mall in Omaha, 40 min. from here). I need to return a bedspread I bought for the master bedroom, that has a hole in it! Of course I talked the kids into it telling them we could look at toys for christmas.. I am not much of a shopper so this is our first trip to a major mall since we moved.
H just headed out to move stuff into his new office space. Sissy (D2, aka Sydney, aka Gigi) told H, "I going to the great wall!". Apparently that is how she says, "great big mall"...
Then again she calls H's favorite drink Mountain Dude...
Tonight we are all (Dan included) going to SILs for dinner, then going to watch our 16 yr old niece star in the school musical. She was 3 weeks old when we had our first date...time sure flies when you're having fun?!?
Whatever you call her ..Sissy/Sydney/Gigi (I guess Sydney is on the certificate). SHe sounds as cute as can be. I am sure she would have me beaming with a great big smile. Reminds me of a annual recurrent training trip to Memphis a couple of years ago. When I had the great pleasure of not only meeting a really nice fellow pilot in my class, but his whole family. They were from either the Dakota's or the UP of Mich (actually they relaocated from one to the other). And so of course they weren't going to pass up the oportunity to join him to head to the balmy warmer climes of TN in March. I had such a blast with all of them as they were so nice. He and his W had two little girls 3/5 and a newbie boy (several months). Those girls were just what my sould needed. In a short couple of days. They were cozying up to me as if I was uncle T. I may have to call them.
Amazing how great memories get me blabbering. COuld be because I am so lost right now.
No big news. I was out all day with the kids, got home 5 min before we had to leave for SILs. H was fully dressed ready and waiting for us. I surprised him by leaving the kids in the car, running inside and saying, "let's go!"
He said "You guys are ready?" I said, "Yep, bag is packed with extra clothes for the kids already, Sydney is sleeping, so let's go!"
I think he was almost disappointed he didn't get to complain that i was making him late...
[censored] slept all the way to SILs then woke up just in time to go potty. Knock on wood, 3 days in underwear so far...
H tried to get pissy with me a couple times at the play (he asked me to get Gigis water cup and I couldn't find it, turns out it wasn't where HE said he had put it...whatever). At first I was taking the bait on instinct, getting defensive, etc.
After a minute I realized he seemed to be trying to find something to be mad about. I just stopped talking, looked back at the stage and then a minute later casually grabbed H's hand. He squeezed it back, then I let go. I will not get pulled into his bad mood attempts anymore.
H fell asleep on the couch last night, again. We got home after midnight, I went to bed at 1:30 and he said he couldn't sleep for some reason. He ended up on the couch all night. That is so annoying, but whatever. My little voice tells me he is still very undecided and is trying to distance himself a bit...
Oh well. I am focusing on me and the kids and getting the house in order today...
