I talked to my dad this morning and he sounds wonderful! He said his pain is at about a 1 right now so that is great! He has been walking around the hospital and he slept good last night. The doctors decided to keep him one more day, just in case, and he is fine with that. He is healing and will be fine!!!
Hi, Yellowrose. I have long been a lurker here at DB and appreciated the wisdom and encouragement you have provided to many here. Could you possibly look over at my thread/posting under Newcomers and/or the MLC board? It is titled "I think I'm done......saddened but strong." Any advice, insight or encouragement you could give me would be very much appreaciated. I am really feeling so "done" right now and that's very scarry and I have an appointment with a lawyer on Monday.

That is great they are sending him home & I also that is good that they are keeping him one more day just to be sure. Make sure you tell him to keep walking!!! That will help with the blood clots that could form after surgery. Also, if he doesn't already he needs to get on some kind of walking schedule. Since my Mom had her surgery they joined a gym & my parents go walk just about every day.

My dad is finally home! Yippee!!!! He is feeling great and says he has no pain. My family said he is looking really good. I sent him a huge fruit basket with alot of ballons. My nephew is cooking them dinner tonight. I thought that was great of him to do. All healthy foods.
I told my mom to make sure he rests some and doesn't over do it. He is so happy to be at home!!! Thank you Lord!!!
