I thought of mini golf the next day. Although it was 9:30 at night but someplaces have night golf. That would have been fun, but again takes $$$.

D17 told me the next morning that we should have went "fishing in the dark". Damb! Wish I would have thought of that.

I guess I am not too spontaneous at the last minute...

Anybody have any other ideas?... next time (if there is one), I'll be ready.

Happy Belated Birthday!

Being spontaneous is tough after being so out of practice and then it's late on a Saturday country night. Grab a blanket and watch the stars, go cow tipping, take a long walk, play tag. I think the neat thing is that your H was around and offered you the choice to choose.

Slow and steady, keep your bubble in the middle.

Thanks WCW,

cow tipping would be a blast but remember I'm chicken "sh*t". \:\(
Ya, I was really stunned when he put it out there. So to me that was the best gift he could have given me. Really "the thought that counts". It was a great evening for me anyway.

This last week has been wonderful. But all good things come to an end right? H has been here everyday since I don't know when. Monday night he stayed.

Tuesday I took 1/2 day from work, came home and hauled 4 loads of corn to town. I'd only driven the truck 4 times from farm to farm just recently. Never on the highway nor loaded. But you only live once right? And sitting here all of these years thinking that one day I will do it, or wishing that I could, didn't get me anywhere. So even if it's just this one year. Now I can say I did. We worked in the field till night. H stayed here, in my bed. Just slept...

Yesterday I came home early and helped them till it rained. H and I fixed fence and let cows out to corn fields. H stayed again, in my bed...

Today, I get home, he's gone. He's gone to his home. Harvest is just about over. He has no exuse to stay here anymore. With my probation he can't have alcohol here anymore so he won't want to just "hang out" here anymore. So I probably won't see much of him now.

And it hurts. Even though I've been telling myself that this was all temporary. To be prepared for it all to end. It still hurts. Tonight I feel like I fell off of that cloud 9 I've been flying on. And the bottom hurts like hell...

Woohooo! congrats on driving the big truck! is it a split axle?

toh, your H is making note of these times too. It probably doesn't affect him as much as it does you but don't think he is totally unaffected.

You guys are out there harvesting and making fence, together.
If it is what you want to do then keep doing it, for yourself. NOT for anyone else.

Remember the Garth Brooks song The Dance? "I could have missed the pain but I'd of had to miss the dance." Which way would you prefer?

Keep your chin up and eyes on the horizon.

No, just a OLD F600, holds about 300 Bus and sways loaded like a BIG fish. But it gets the job done...

It is what I want to do. And I'm having fun doing it.

How true about the song. Of course I'll take the dance but oh the pain is so hard...

With any luck and God's blessings, H will have had a great week with me as well and now that he's gone back to his shack he'll be miserable and miss me...

TOH,
What my H has always said in reference to me (I'm very routine-oriented; he likes spur-of-the-moment):
"You want me to be spontaneous? Sure, I'll pencil that in; how about Thursday?"

Peace,
Dawn

Good/not so good weekend...

Since H went home he had been staying away. He'd been coming here but during the day when I was at work. I was leaving him alone. Did talk on the phone once a day.

Then Saturday the rear end went out of H's pickup. He was on his way out to the farm so BIL towed him the rest of the way. H has been staying here every since. He's driving my car to work. Don't know how long this will last, haven't asked. Yesterday him and I fixed fence at the other place. We have been getting along extremely well. No R talk. Just enjoying the time together...

Well, I am glad your H is being nice and respectful to you. I hate those situations where you don't know if they want to be there, or if by necessity, they have to be there (his truck not running). But as long as you are comfortable with him being there, then its good.

I think if OW were still in the picture, she would probably be driving him around or lending him her car.

Steady on.

I agree, Andabelle. Sad, but probably true.
