he said he rarely drinks that much anymore but something must trigger it. and the truth of the matter is, he has a quiet place to just sit all day, nobody calling him or bothering him. at night, he stays up really, really late, been talking or texting me.
he feels he has screwed up his life beyond repair. he told me lastnight that you don't know what you lost until it is gone and my response was, "who said it was gone?"
i think dealing with the day to day responsibilities scares him. he really has not been around for 4 years and it has been me who has pretty much raised the kids from the time they became teens. sometimes he cannot deal with teenage behavior, esp. the girls.
