OH, I know that I'm not REALLY stupid; just maybe I've let this go on too long; considering where I think that this is heading.
I posted this on your thread; but I thought I'd mention it here. We were discussing holidays and the fact that I want to take the kids to my Sis' on T-giving. She didn't have any heartburn as she's in retail and will be working mucho hours. Then I mentioned that my Mom's H has Christmas Eve off and I want to take the kids up there then. So she replies, well I'm off at 6. I think she was implying that she wants to go with us; I don't want her there. I just haven't told her yet.
Hmm..that does get interesting and dicey doesn't it? I suppose you could say that you are going up earlier than that and then, if she drives there, at least she's putting in the effort and you are "out of the equation" either way? Just a thought...

I like Tawnya's idea of just leaving before she gets off. No sense cutting your visit short because she has to work...that way you don't actually have to tell her that you don't want her there. Is it likely that she'd drive herself?
