Today was fun.

It began with X calling me FOUR times this AM to wake me up to go vote. I tried to ignore the phone as I was off today but gave up. Last night DD verbalized her observation that X and I agree on a lot, especially our politics and wondered aloud why we were divorced if we agree on so much. I told her that was one of the things that brought us together and our agreement on politics hasn't changed.

Later in the day X asked me if I could drop off something for her. Because I was running errands and only a few blocks away I agreed. I'm really glad I did. I had just pulled up in the driveway and was walking in when OM drove up. It's so rich that all of us; X, OM, me and kids were off today. I had parked in the driveway forcing OM to park on the street. I went inside and climbed into bed beside my kids in the master bedroom. OM came to the bedroom door a few minutes later and said "hi" to DS but no one else (X was in the bathrub). I stared straight at him and he never made eye contact with me or acknowledged my presence. He looked uncomfortable and out of place (maybe because he is?).

When X came out of the bathroom she couldn't find what she wanted me to drop off. I made the comment that since OM was there he could drop it off for her. She got upset kids and I were in her bed (they were in it when I arrived) and had "messed it up." I got kids out of the room, for their sake, kissed them goodbye and left.

She called my cell before I could get home and began to fuss at me. She said it was uncalled for when I said OM could run the errand for her and asked why I "ran off." She also fussed a little about me and kids being in her bed when she came out of the bathroom undressed (she was wearing a robe) and made a comment about me having people to help me while she doesn't.

Today was a good day.

One thing I noticed that was different was that she cooled off very quickly.

She called me four times later but I had my phone off and missed her calls.

We had a very passionate courtship.

The next time I see a sparkle in her eyes (any) I'm gonna take her in my arms and plant one on her.

"No guts, no glory." (I don'tknow who said that but he obviously survived the "guts" part and recieved some "glory")
