I just took a call from the dysfunctional BFF. She was looking for the W and got a text from her at the very time we were talking. convo was meaningless. BFF said that they were going to the gym. BFF had just left the Dr. office about her back. I guess she's got some spinal problems; and the Doc was suggesting hot yoga. We talked about that for a little bit as I've done it and W loves it. so we hang up after a little bit and few minutes later the W calls.
W: So BFF says you sounded mad when you talked with her. me: No, why would I be mad and why would care if I was?
W: That's what I was saying. I don't know why he would be mad. me: Well she doesn't talk to me a whole lot. so she can't decipher my tones of voice.
W: Well, you don't talk to HER much. me: We never see each other.
W: Yea, I guess so. me: I guess you're not working tonight.
W: No I'm waiting on BFF to get out of tanning bed. I got to work tomorrow. me: Are you going to eat out or do you want some of what I'm making for me and the kids. W: No we're probably going to BW3s. We'll probably get a sampler or something.
So the W didn't mention the gym; but BFF did. The are perfect for each other. You can't believe either one of them. It's funny and sad.
But I wonder why my W called and asked if I was mad. I haven't spoken 25 words to her since Fri night and she calls out of the blue to ask if I was mad. Go Figure.
She had BFF call you as some kind of "test" or something. God, how high school are these two?? When you mentioned the tanning bed, I suddenly had a vision of the BFF in the movie Click...the one that ends up with Hasselhoff. LOL. Did you see that? That scene when Adam Sandler is arguing with BFF in the kitchen is so funny.
I had a similar situation with an exGF years ago. Her friend was fishing for info. Suddenly pretending to be concerned about me and asking me all sorts of questions about who I was dating or if I was dating and that sort of thing but in a round about way, apparently she didn't think I was intelligent enough to see through the ruse.
I wouldn't read too much into it. If it's due to you making a 180, then she will probably do what she can to get under your skin in trying to illicit a specific reaction, something you have changed about yourself or your attitude that she doesn't want to believe you're capable of doing.
I'm slowly coming to the understanding that our WAW's need to see us as the problem, I don't mean WAW's in general, but I've read your situation and in ways it's like mine. When we shift from being the problem they need a way in which to make us the problem again in order to ease their burden of guilt.
Hang in there man, you're an inspiration to a lot of people. I know you're an inspiration to me. I've read your situation from post one up to the present and it gives me hope that I can make it as well.
