Hey, Kerry.

I sent her a text after I got home telling her I enjoyed myself. She replied w/ "Me too. Look forward to seeing you again." She then sent me a text today asking how my day was going, so there may be something there for us to work with.

I do want to take it slow and not rush anything, but it does feel good to connect w/ someone, even if it turns out to be just for this one date.

I'll keep tabs on her and see if we'll be able to meet up on Sunday (she was checking to see if she's free b/c she already has Friday and Saturday plans w/ her sister). I'll keep you all posted regardless.

Kerry, you are already ahead of me w/ your G40. Also, I want XW to marry 1st so I can get rid of my child support payments (or at least reduce them down a bit).

You guys are so funny!!!

Hey Rob, good luck.. hope you will be honest with her, either way. I'm sure you will! So.. how old is she?

I'm so impressed you had a date already! Thats fantastic. Wow, I havent been on a date for 13 years!!! August 1996 was my last date, with my ex, before my current ex.

The date went really well... because I moved in with him the next day!!! Nowadsys, people just text afterwards. Sheesh.

Wow! Was he a hypnotist? That must have been quite the first date.

Ali,

That sounds like what happened w/ me and XW. We were out at Happy Hour on a Friday and she was moved into my apartment by Sunday.

In hindsight, I'm pretty sure that should have been a sign for me, dont' you think? I can see it all so clearly now and she's repeating this pattern by jumping in w/ her new BF so quickly too.

It is sad how this will affect my D, but I've just got to do the best I can when I'm w/ her and try and minimize the damage.

Well, I didn't post yesterday b/c I was watching the election results. Very interesting time in our country and regardless of who you were pulling for, it is a true piece of history and now let's see how things work out for us all.

I did talk a bit w/ the woman I went on the date w/ the other night. We texted and then she pranked me pretending to be a parent who was calling to complain about my teaching style and her son. It was well played (but I didn't bite as hard as Palin did w/ those two radio guys in Montreal), but I thought it was funny. I also think it means she likes me a bit too. Again, we shall see and we may get to meet up this Sunday.

Otherwise, I've been able to scrape up the $500 needed to do the evaluation on XW's pension plan. She'll have to put in her $500 too so we can have them examined and have a fair market estimate determined of their value. I'm still hoping I'll be able to get some decent money out of her as her state pension is guaranteed while mine is not. There has to be something positive to come out of this for me, doesn't there?

So, that's basically it for me. Not much going on, but not much to grumble about either. I think I'm heading over to FB to post some of my pictures w/ D during Halloween. D really liked my Elvis costume and night-long impersonation of the King.

Talk to you later.

Hey Rob..

I've heard that when you reenter the dating arena you take it easy and focus on a number of people, rather than just one. It allows you to redevelop skills forgotten in a long term marriage and keeps you from getting in over your head.

Although I've always said I can't imagine dating.. sometimes I whimper inside with such a deep yearning for a special someone. I figured I lived on crumbs during the end of my marriage.. I will learn to expect the best from anything in the future.

Ack.. there I go.. all about me!

It's great to hear that there's someone who tickles your fancy! I hope that you're able to eke out some of your ex wife's pension.

*hugs*

PS.. it's hard to imagine someone better looking than you!

Well, did I tell you I called FG and told him "this is S. Pahlin, if you vote for me, you get to go hunting with me and Mr Sarcozy after the elections"... He bought it!!! (for a second he admitted)LOL!!! I still laugh over this when I think about it...

Good for you Mister!! It must be really hard for a woman to resist you... (he he)
Love

That sounds like a normal life to me \:\) It's great that now you can focus on the regular, day-to-day stuff of life rather than the craziness you've been dealing with for the past year.
