Goddess?
The wings did come out very well!
And we had a baked Alaska. W cooked the base this morning, and froze the ice cream in a pan. I did the assembly and made the meringue tonight. It was good too!

Have a great weekend Handsome. I'm glad your C liked the idea of a letter.

The Baked Alaska was very good!
EDIT:
It was a brownie base, with cookies and cream ice cream!

I just realized that as it turned out I did almost everything for the party. I'm no complaining, it's how things worked out (she and her mom sprung her dad from the hospital yesterday afternoon, it took a lot longer than expected.... which is to be expected!). Other than baking the base for the baked Alaska and forming the ice cream, she ended up not doing any of the prep work or cooking. And I did all of the cleaning of the kitchen afterward. And, since she works today, I just cooked pancakes for 7 8th graders, a ten year old, and myself, and will be finishing the cleanup from that. I'm not seeing a lot of room for complaint!

Need to clean the kitchen! Then get ready to take S10 to his soccer game! It looks like another beautiful day!

HUGS!

I like the idea of composing two letters - one for yourself, and the other for W. It's good! \:\)

And YOU sound good, Jeff! You are doing AWESOME work!

Thanks!
Well, I've got three exhausted kids, and a dad that's not far behind!

S20 went to a couple of Halloween parties last night. I don't know when he got home, but I know it wasn't early. He went this afternoon to help W's friend's daughter (the special needs kid) work on her Senior exit project paper. I think she is probably really borderline on being special needs. She is certainly "slower" than a lot of kids, but she isn't totally out of it by any means. And she's the nicest kid you could meet. Anyway, he just got home, and flopped onto the sofa.

S10 and I sent to his soccer game. We got in the car, and I think he was asleep before we got off our street. Then we stopped and got him new shin guards on the way to the game. Afterward, he didn't even remember the stop, he was asleep again before we got out of the parking lot. He actually played pretty well. After the game, we sent through the drive through for a lunch and drink for him, he said he was fully awake. Right! Ten minutes later, zonked again! We got home, I woke him up, and he got to the doorway of his room, and collapsed on the floor!

When we got home I heard video game music through the window, and as soon as I came through the door, I started to tell S14 that I thought he had had enough of that for while. Then I looked, and saw that he was asleep in the office chair in front of the computer!

The family room is a bit of a mess, but I think if the kids ever wake up it won't take long to fix. Mostly just clutter and stuff from having 8 kids playing, eating, and generally having a good time. I managed to keep the kitchen under control. I just need to clean the griddle and the bowl I mixed the pancakes in. I think there are enough leftover to have pancakes and ice cream for dinner.

I'm pretty pleased with myself!

Now if I just knew where to take Michelle to eat tomorrow evening! And get home in time to get the kids ready for bed. If they've woken up by then!

W will be working, I'll be home before she is.

Perhaps it is lying by omission, but I don't feel too bad about it.

Three exhausted kids, and a pile of pancakes- sounds like a great day!

Have fun with Michelle later, but not too much fun or I might get jealous!
