I recieved a letter from my atorney this week. I haven't recieved any correspondence from her for several months. It sent a cold shiver up my spine and a feeling of dread as such usually contains bad news.
I didn't open it that night as it was late and I didn't want anything disrupting my sleep. I planned on opening it the next morning but forgot and had to wait until I got home from work to open it.
When I finally open the letter IT WAS A FORM LETTER FROM MY ATTORNEY TO ALL HER CLIENTS REQUESTING WE VOTE FOR A CANDIDATE SHE SUPPORTS IN THEIR CAMPAIGN FOR PUBLIC OFFICE.
Attorneys should not do such things, at least not to clients who have litigation pending. Neither should County Coroners, Public Health Units, The IRS, or any other individual or organization of which the return address alone is enough to scare the cr@p out of someone.
My X got a letter from Bagdad, Iraq right after 9/11 during the Anthrax scare. No kidding. Turned out it was just some Iraqi trying to make money on a scam. Guess he didn't have a computer. Was exciting reading the return address nonetheless.
