Is she is or is she ain't (my baby)?

Tonight was interesting....

Took kids to X's for the "traditional" Halloween party/trick or treat/yearly get together we once threw as a couple and she now continues to throw.

OM was there at first but left, came back, left and came back again right at the end. I wonder if he was doing two parties. X and OM were both dressed as superheroes (fits their maturity level to a "t"). One kid asked OM if he was Superman and he replied, "No, I'm "_______". X broke up with Superman and she's dating me now." Would you believe at one point I thought about going as Superman but chose another costume? I almost asked OM if he was Chicken Man but I bit my tongue.

While OM was gone X asked someone to take a group picture of the kids that were there in costume. She stood behind the kids and then asked me to join her. While standing behind the kids and beside her I reached over and pinched her on her almost exposed bottom as the costume she was wearing hardly covered her butt. She jumped a little but made no further response.

A few moments later I apologized for "my indescretion." X replied, "No, it's OK, it made for an interesting moment."

X is having a hard time. She is broke, sick, overworked, stressed out, tired, etc. A mutual female friend at the party mentioned how bad off she is and asked me if I knew what was going on. I told her I believe X and OM are breaking up. Mutual friend said she had just mentioned to X she should dump OM and get back together with me in about six months. She went on to say all of our mutual friends feel the same.

A family picture X had taken down was back up on the wall in the living room.

I fixed something that has been broken on her car for a few weeks while I was there.

Today at work a female co-worker opened her blazer to show me the Halloween message on the t-shirt she was wearing beneath. That left a mental image I'm having a hard time shaking off.

Tonight I wore a shirt I purchased from Fredericks of Hollywood ten years ago that fits again and got several looks and a couple of outright compliments from some of the ladies present.

It was a good Hallowen.

Definately treat.
