OK, a story. I am not a lunatic!
Background..... A month or so ago, S10 accompanied me on a golf "adventure". We stopped at the QuickMart on the way, and got drinks. In identical cups, he got a Doctor Pepper, and I got iced tea. So, we got to the course, the drinks were not done yet, so they went into the cupholders of the golf cart. We did a pretty good job of keeping track for a while. I was letting him drive when no one was around, but now and then I drove. So, it finally happened, I started to take a sip of his DP. OK, so I haven't had a soda for more than 5 months at the time, and I was quite surprised by the taste in my mouth. So, I did the DAM thing to do, and I spat it out on the ground. Perhaps a little disgusting, but there was no one around. Anyway, S10 mentioned that I'd almost had soda after we got home. He was actually proud. W was disgusted, and gave a bit of a lecture about it. Whatever.
Anyway, tonight we went to S10's Fifth grade musical. We had two cars, since I went straight from work. After that we headed to a friends house for their granddaughter's first birthday party. S14 rode with me. S14 and I got on the subject of how I hadn't had a soda for so long, and the subject of the near miss at the golf course came up. He said something like, "I don't get why Mom made such a big deal out of it. It's like she's some kind of control freak."
So there you go!
I've got C tomorrow morning, I will talk about the letter. Later we are having S14's birthday party, I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing, I have not been let in on the secret, if there is one.
Well, I think you are all in the C's head! She likes the letter idea. She suggested writing two, one for me, that gets it all out, and then the version for W! Imagine that? And now I have a timetable, I'll take it to C in two weeks, and then give it to W. Hopefully enough before Thanksgiving to have any immediate fallout done by then.
I got a pair of tennis shoes (trainers, Lisa, Ali, Julia, and naij!) and a haircut. Got the oil changed in the car, and made a fool of myself at the driving range. And dropped off some old kids' clothes at goodwill. Now I need to mop the kitchen, and make some chicken wings! Fortunately, they are already off the chickens, I just need to bread them, season them, and cook them! And clean a cooler for the sodas. (Not that I can actually drink any!)
Oh, here is something I heard on the driving range.... some guys were talking about their jobs.
Guy one: Is there something else that you'd rather be doing? Guy two: Yeah... Guy one: What? Guy two: Converting vodka into urine, but it doesn't pay very well!
Imagine you mopping the kitchen and making chicken wings from scratch! You are a domestic goddess Jeff.
I think your C has a great idea.. to write 2 letters and that timing is interesting, as in 2 weeks time.. its that biggie weekend that I have been posting about and Kalni too. Mid November, its all happening!
I think it would be perfect timing.
