I totally agree. Just read LE's post - man o man - these spouses that push for D for selfish reasons (ie, no abuse, etc) are such, well... I can't even find the right words. I will use one that Sugar and Spice coined - F*cktards!

I am like you. I will not (at least right now) be the one that has to face my kids and say I oulled the pin - at least not until I have tried EVERYTHING I can think of. Some friends tell me I maight be at that point!

My W cried divorce the day I found out about her A. She gave me some BS papers Oct 2nd......she wanted full custody, $1200 per month, 50 grand out of the house.....whether we had it or not and half my annuity. She wanted an uncontested divorce....$1500....that's all she has. She stood in our kitchen and told me......I will make you out to be a child molester if you fight me for custody!

I waited 2 weeks.....threw out her papers.....and filed REAL papers.
In Illinois filing kinda gives you a little control....it also protects you as far as nobody can be forced to leave.....and nobody can take the kids.

I swore I would not file...told my wife I would not file....but I had had enough!!

Now if we were in LE's commune (community) it would be a bit easier to do!! Actually, I have this good friend of mine that knows about our sitch..she's actually probably like 5'5" and tiny as can be and she's like "I'd like to sit your hub down and poke him and say "what the heck are you doing?" LOL!

so in the last 48 hours, I've talked to the W for a total of 5 min. Both conversations were about the kittens. Today she called while I was at work and I told her that I was busy and needed to go. I never called back. Got home and she had a message from a L returning her call. Not too worried about it though. She'd have to borrow money from relatives that don't like what she's doing. Not thinking that that's not possible; I just don't think it's likely. Her mom doesn't have the money; her dad just got out of his 2nd stint in rehab after he lost his job. He's got a new one; but it pays way less and he lives in a 4500 sq foot home that he's trying to sell in this market for $460K. Her g.father is the wild card.

She didn't come home last night and when she was here today; she didn't do anything. If she was coming home straight from work; she'd been here 1 hour ago. Of course, then I wouldn't be on here.

That's all I got tonight. No real drama, just peaceful in the house with no W.

Not sure about when I'm coming to the Windy City; might not be 'til Spring. Just have to see how the money holds out and then there's the weather. I hate to see it coming; but man it was cold this morning, 28 F.

I hangin' tho. Not any worrying. As long as she's out; I'm documenting. I guess the Supermom thing wore off already.
