Thank you. As usual your perspective is so valued by me. You seem to be the messenger b/c of your suggestion and reminder to pray.
Unbeknownst to you -- I had decided awhile ago to stop praying about restoration. A restoration is no longer my priority, as I have found contentment in my current life. But there will always be an emptiness...the "hole in the soul" I've written about before.
Seeing my xH at our son's wedding last year -- showed me a man with overwhelming guilt and sadness in his heart. Yet seemingly far from ready to walk the Prodigals' path home. But the desire to repent seemed present, in a heart, that sadly lacks the courage to act...at least not yet. But I know that whatever is to happen will only unfold in God's timing.
Besides the constant dreams -- another reoccurring "coincidence" -- is this one woman, MJ, that you may remember me writing about.
She is the one -- who for the last 3.5 years, EVERY SINGLE TIME I run into her -- about every 6 to 9 months or so -- one day, suddenly, out-of-the blue, just shockingly started saying to me..."I just have a feeling that you and xH are going to get back together." And then she often adds the story about her aunt and uncle who divorced and then remarried after 10 years apart.
Well, this last time happened about a month ago...and it was even weirder than usual.
She as usual, asked about my xH and son etc. and then right on cue just suddenly said,"I just have a feeling that you and xH are going to get back together."
She said this a couple of times and then she asked me, "Did Scott and Rick give you my message?"
Scott and Rick are 2 (BTW atheist) friends of mine -- and they see MJ every Thursday, due to business-related matters -- and always tell me that MJ always asks about me, and is so fond of me, and asks them to tell me she asked about me. And they usually do.
So when MJ asked if Scott and Rick had given me her message -- I smiled and said, "Yes, they told me you said hello."
She looked confused and said, "No...I told them to tell you that I just have a feeling that you and xH are going to get back together."
I was shocked...truly shocked -- that NOW she was sending this message through other people! I kind of laughingly said, "No. They did NOT give me THAT message!"
She wasn't pleased that they hadn't relayed her message. And I also wondered why they hadn't given me her message.
Later that day, I spoke to Rick and kind of jokingly -- but not really -- said, "How come you didn't give me MJ's message about her feeling that xH and I will be getting back together?" Rick then says..."Well, Scott and I talked it over and decided not to."
He then said that he, Scott and MJ had discussed my xH and I getting back together for quite awhile that day! And afterwards he and Scott just decided NOT to deliver the message. All VERY odd.
When I pressed Rick on why they'd decided not to give me the message...he said, "Because you already know this." Very strange statement and very strange decision on their part...all odd.
But what I concluded...and this is truly a wonderful "hand of God moment" example -- is that it is clear that I was supposed to get that message...in that time frame.
So when Rick and Scott refused to deliver it as MJ had asked them to -- God stepped in and took charge and created a "chance" meeting between me and MJ -- so she could deliver it herself.
But, not only did she -- as usual, say "the message" -- she ALSO made a very strange point of telling me that she'd already attempted to send me this message a few weeks beforehand too.
Now why was it so important to MJ to make sure I knew she'd already sent me this message via Scott and Rick??? And seriously...just WHY did MJ even tell Scott and Rick that message at all??? Why did God want me to know this?? For emphasis??
It certainly does seem apparent that God felt that it was important that I receive this message...in that specific time frame...His time frame.
Important enough, that since the original channel was blocked...He then orchestrated a "chance" meeting with MJ -- b/c He knew that MJ would not fail to deliver the message.
The dreams started up again sometime after I received this message.
Again, while there is definitely importance to the message and dreams...I'm not sure what it is. But your writing about your dreams has prompted me to tell you about mine -- and now to share this strange story about MJ and her message. So there is significance.
And your initial response to me about my dreams -- was to share with me how you've been praying the prayers from Charlyne for the past 2 days -- and then to ironically suggest that God is perhaps leading me to pray harder than before for my xH to come home.
Now that is quite revealing since as I mentioned -- I have completely STOPPED praying for that for awhile.
But for the past couple of weeks, what I have been praying -- is for God to please send me a message -- so clear and specific -- that even I can't misunderstand or miss -- what it is that He wants me to do!
And then tonight, you, in your usual gentle manner -- gave me a specific suggestion that fits my situation exactly.
So thank you for your advice and for being the messenger...I will heed the message.
Summer, that was an excellent example of what may be God speaking to you. I know it is easy to dismiss a message from Him but I think it is wise to evaluate what may be messages (through others) by Him or dreams that may hold a meaning from Him.
I know that some messages may not be messages but "false hope". Personally, I don't believe in false hope. I believe in hope as we are told numerous times to have. After all, isn't prayer a form of hope?
I used to try to interpret messages from different sources including dreams as to whether they hold special significance without considering if they were "godly" messages or simply chance. Over the past couple of years, I have responded to the command to discern whether the messages do not conflict with God's rules.
Your story really gave me shivers. I cannot help but think that it is a good message. And I love the fact that the message still got through even though an attempt was made to block it. I sincerely believe that there is an evil one that doesn't want marriages to be restored and he will use whatever methods to try to distract us. I know we can do a lot of the damage ourselves.

Summer, I am very convinced that God wants you to get the message about you and your xH getting back together. I had almost forgotten about MJ. It really is amazing how she insists on passing you on the message. And on top of your getting that message in such a special way, you are having these dreams!!! God sure seems to be going all out to snd you this message.

Summer, I don't think you should have any doubt about the importance of this message and dreams. How can there be so much connection between them otherwise?
And you know what? I actually wasn't planning on posting last night, as it was getting late. But for some reason, after doing my prayers, I felt something inside me reminding me of my dream and nudging me to post about my dream. Before that, I had completely forgotten about my dream! So I think God meant for us to discuss your message and your dreams, and your praying for restoration!

You got your clear and specific message!!! I am so glad to have been useful as a messenger. And so glad that you are going to pray for your M restoration.
This is a journey without a map. An uncharted, unplanned, unwanted journey -- that we are navigating blindly -- so I must surmise that a message of any kind along the way is divine guidance -- a SIGNPOST that we are going in the right direction. For it is when we begin to DOUBT at these critical junctures -- that God uses these messages as divine SIGNPOSTS to GUIDE us -- and as CONFIRMATION to us that we are indeed still on the right path.
It is akin to driving 3000 miles across the country, on a road, we've never traveled before. All we are told is to STAY on this road and it will get us to our destination. And it is only when we occasionally see a road SIGN with the route # -- as CONFIRMATION that YES -- we ARE still on the "right" road -- that we take a deep breath and relax.
Now just b/c we suddenly see a road sign confirming that we are on the "right" road -- that doesn't mean that we are anywhere near our goal or destination. It only means we are on our way there. So it would appear that I have to trust and have complete faith -- that God uses MJ's constant message of, "I just have a feeling that you and xH are going to get back together," as a divine road sign...
MJ's words are a message. And it is a confirmation -- that despite appearances VERY much to the contrary...that I am on the "right" road. That I am exactly where God wants me to be.

Summer, Your post conveys your analysis very very well. I wholeheartedly agree with this your conclusion. To heed the message and confirmation is wise. God will continue to steer us the way He wants us to travel, even if we decide to not heed his direction. It is in our best interest to heed.
I so like Charlyne's devotionals especially these past few months. They seem to speak right at me. EVen today's - "The Lord Fights for You". The battle is not mine, but God's. I have heard this so many times within this week. And out of those times, I heard them 3 times within 24 hours. I have found these so comforting.
When we get a message to act -- we are told to wait and to ask for confirmation before we act -- so that we know to a certainty that the message is from God. And if it is -- we are supposed to get a confirmation for the message 3 TIMES! So that you got your confirmation 3x in one day is definite proof that THAT is your message...that "the battle is not yours, but God's."
So if the message is that this is one of your issues -- then you must work on turning it over 100% to the Lord and allowing it to unfold in His time. And TRUSTING that He is in control. We must take our hands off it totally -- and then wait patiently -- and trust that God is working on the situation for us -- even when it may appear that "nothing" is happening.
Since this is your message -- I would suggest perhaps going back over the last few months -- and seeing if you can determine where you may not have allowed God to be in charge. Times when perhaps you've tried to move things along through your own efforts.
Such a specific message as yours is such a great one b/c it is like a huge STOP SIGN popping up. Now before you do ANYTHING -- you will now know that you must STOP and listen and patiently wait for confirmation -- before acting.
What a wonderful message!! Because it is so practical and applicable to every situation!

Summer, Is there a Biblical reference for this? I am curious where this came from. This is the first time I hear of it, and is sure interesting.
As for the message, I think God sent me the message because last week, I was getting many negative thoughts about my M. So temessage is God's way of reminding me that He is in control, I don't have to listen to the negative thoughts and I can lean on Him to win the battle.

There are actually many biblical references illustrating man asking God for, and then receivingmultiple signs, as confirmation of His messages to us, throughout the bible.
Two of the best known and often quoted biblical references, that continue to be used to illustrate how God still confirms His messages to us today are these...
1 Samuel 10:1-27
