Shes got the same shoes to get glad in. If her "cleaner" aint broke, let her have at it. My H does this same sort of thing and my response is now,"The only person it is bothering is you, so do something about it yourself or let it go." You know what they say about wanting in one hand....
Even if you really want the Saturn, I would still drive the '08, mainly just to jack with her. I believe what Puppy says too. She will come back with a plan, try and figure out what it is and the best way to diffuse it. The best defense is a good offense. If you give her something to focus on - you driving the car, she may forget about whatever it is she is planning and just act on that instead. Keep her off balance.
Even if she comes back singing like Snow White and farting butterflies and rainbows, the kids won't buy it for long. They have seen too much the last couple of months to buy the "Disneyland Mom" routine. Might actually be amusing to watch. Kids are great at truth darts too. They might enjoy it at first, but then they will wonder why she is being a phony. Just my $.02.
