Not a great response from W on the wedding ring, she noticed it right away, but her words were "Whats going on with that ring", I just told her I wear my wedding ring now. Then she said "I couldn't miss it ,cos the shine from it nearly blinded me". Anyway as I said before I didn't put it on for a reaction (honest) I just put in on and it's kinda helping me move on a step.
Ok, this one is for Arthur, I got in contact with my mate big Rick, we call him the original sleeping policeman cos he's a lazy so and so, but anyway, he's not been keeping himself in the best of shape and at the age of 41 he had what turned out to be a mild stroke, he's up and about now and is milking it on the sick so I'm going round to his for a chat and a laugh.
Other than that just looking forward to another good weekend.
Lan, what about her ring? I thought you said back ages ago that you were thinking of a new for her? I am not capable of thinking straight but that's what I remember... Thanks xxx K
W has never taken her ring off but said she would want a new one if I decided I wanted a new ring, and if I did I would have to buy it myself. I'm wearing my original ring now and W is still wearing her original ring so I guess we both ok with that.
Hey Kal, I included you in my prayers in church today. At the the end of the service the Priest said to me he noticed that I didn't take Holy communion (Bread & Wine) and has invited me to be "Confirmed" in the Church of England. Before I can be confirmed I have to go to some bible reading classes in preparation. Never thought I'd see the day, but anyway my Ma is happy.
I think this will all go towards making a better me.
Lan, I am glad things are Ok for you. Thanks for the prayers. I need all the help I can get. I am not a super religious person but I do have my "moments of connection" with God. I havent tried lately, I think I should...
BTW, have you seen "Sliding doors" with G. Paltrow? Where she misses the tube returns home and finds her boyfrined in bed with someone? And then they show the same story showing what happens when she doesnt miss it? A small second changed the story of her life... I always thought when thinking of that how amazing it is that a moment can change everything. Is this my moment? Or my moment has passed and I will find out soon what the outcome will be? Or do I have still to see what the moment will be?
Enough with random thoughts, thanks for thinking of me K
Lan your post made me smile, I am an Anglican, my children wer all brought up in the church but got to the age when they went their own ways. However just before my daughter was married she decided to be confirmed. I was so happy. Thrilled in fact. My sons however are proving harder to crack! One attends midnight mass with me the other did til about 3 years ago. Family tradition. Your mum will be as they say here "over the moon" May God bless you as you prepare to be confirmed and become a full member of Christs Church.Gosh I,m happy to and I don't even know you.
Me too, I'm not overly religious, really only started up at church again from being a kid when I got married and then a little more when D7 came along. But I've been praying a lot in the last couple of years (for obvious reasons) asking for things, and I thought this being asked of me is not too much trouble. May be this is a calling, maybe it will open better lines of communication upstairs, anyway as you say it's a moment.
