Oh, I forget to say that last night was my night out again. The W was going to stay home and watch the kids. But an important text came through about 6:30 and voila, the kids now have a babysitter. My MIL ended up keeping them over night. It's amazing how fast she can arrange a sitter when she wants to. It never worked like that when we were trying to go out together.
Anyway, before I ran into those two lovely young ladies; I decided to go to an Al-Anon meeting. It was a meeting that I hadn't been to in 2 years, since my W was in rehab. The theme was about relationships. How timely. I'm glad I went. DB'ing has taught me more about that program than I was learning alone. I felt great leaving. Really set my PMA and confidence up for the rest of the night.
W asked me this morning after she bought the family breakfast; "so where do you go last night?" I told her about watching the UA/TN game at Beef's; but quickly changed the subject before I got to the part where I ran into our friends. The friends told me that they thought she was crazy last year. It was interesting convo; I'll tell you that. I just validated what they were telling me and trying not to go into detail. Mostly, I tried turning the convo around to them to get it off of my sitch. But you know girls, they love juicy gossip.
So W didn't go to work yesterday or today because of the leg injury; but amazingly enough she has the wherewithal to be able to go out at night. Heck, she was supposed to pick the kids up from her mom's at 8:30 this morning. She texts me at 9:30 wanting to know if I had picked them up yet; that she had just woken up. So I go get them; but she did bring us breakfast and that was nice.
Now she's getting ready to go out with dysfunctional BFF again. Says that this girl is really needy right now. W says she tells her like it is. I made a comment that friends can be good therapy as long as they don't have ulterior motives and don't lead down the wrong path. The W replied "I just tell her that I'll do what I want no matter what she thinks." Now that could be good or bad. I don't know. Seems BFF has been a bad influence over the summer. So it could go either way.
