I touched H when I wanted to. If we had a big fight, then I wouldn't want him to touch me at all.
If we were getting along and he was being teachable and approachable.....then we'd be intimate.
It's very individual. Is her LL physical touch ? Is she a touchy feely person. If it's been 9 months, I'm guessing she isn't.
You could always ask her, "can I give you a hug".
