Happy Friday, Survivors!

Yesterday my DD turned 21. Back when we first had bomb #1, I used to pine, fret and worry about this milestone. I surmised that I would really want to celebrate the day w/ H.

Well, the day came and went. I did think a lot about DD's actual birth and the amazing experience that was. She was born at home, 10 pounds, 2 hour labor and no tears. Attended by midwives and H, who caught her and cut the cord. It was one of the peak experiences of my life, and I am so blessed and honored to have gone through that, and also to have DD and DS in my life.

Poor girl is in the middle of midterms, but I am hearing that a party is in the works for the weekend. She isn't really a drinker, and generally quite responsible, so I trust her when she says she will take it easy. But a mom can't help but worry!

X sent DD a statue/reproduction of Aphrodite for her 21st. D seemed amused and puzzled. I am not sure what that is all about. Aphrodite/Venus represents romantic love. I know X loves DD, but this seems a little odd.

Just have to boast about S for a minute. I had been getting letters from congressmen from different states all over the country, addressed to S. I asked him about it and he said he donated money to congress races that were close to the candidate that is running in his party. I am impressed. This kid really gives back in every way he can, including his volunteer work in Louisiana after Katrina and Indonesia after the tsunami, and giving a percentage of his money to causes he believes in.EDITED - ADVERTISING is NOT ALLOWED. Argo and I are going to meet a breeder today. EDITED - ADVERTISING is NOT ALLOWED. You must comply with the DivorceBusting.com Board Rules if you would like to continue the privilege of posting here. She is the breeder of Argo's daddy. We are donating a bit of his DNA to a gene study. I will also get to meet/play with puppies!

Today I woke up at 4:30...wide awake. I finished a project and now on to the next. This is what happens when you go to bed exhausted and sleep through the night!

Have a great Friday, all!
