I still think you women hold the cards. We are supposed to make the move and ask you out and you have all the power. In fact, I'm not even sure where to meet people anymore now that I'm almost 38. The bars are never a good place to look and all my friends friends are married.
I've got a profile on-line and I do get looked at, but once I send a simple "hello" e-mail, I usually get nothing back. It is a bit frustrating as they'll read everything I send out, but never respond. I eventually just give up on them, but what happened to common courtesy from these women? I've even had a few start conversations then just drop them cold. WTF?
Again, I'm not sure I'm a big fan of dating let alone internet stuff, but where else do you find people these days? Seriously.
I have had a few dates and the ladies are nice, but I'm very, very picky this time around and I'm going to go for what I want and not settle.
You mentioned "expecting" something for buying a drink or whatever, and honestly, if I think I could like the person, I wouldn't want to just fool around as it would ruin something for later. So, I'm not expecting much except to have a nice time and gauge interest on both sides for a potential 2nd date.
