When my W said she was coming home before the kids started school again I gave her 3 choices


1. Stay in the condo she was in

2. I would leave the house and send her the mortgage and some extra $

3. She pays me $1000 dollars a month to live at home.

She picked 3. $1000 is a third of our "joint" bills. I told her no free ride to a D and live here for free AND cheat on me.

She hates it when she gives me the $.

Since I am keeping the house ALL utilities are in my name now.

She pays her own car, car ins , and her own cell and other bills of hers.

Just need to formulate which pitches to start to throw to stay ahead of the count...

What is the pitch suggestion - all of you catchers out there??

Start with the fastball (confrontation . .. check!),

then come back with something off-speed (your L's counteroffer ... check!),

then, either a fastball up out of the zone or just off the outside corner (the financial tightening you just spoke of).

If that doesn't do the trick, you finish off the at-bat with either your best fastball, or some "junk" depending on how well they handled pitch #2.

I love this. Not exactly classic DBing, but I think this is the kind of "consequences" that betrayed's need to let kick in, in order for the wayward to "get it."

My W contribute NO $$ WHATSOEVER. The $$ she makes for bookkeeping goes into her own account that is used for heaven knows what... She even took $$ that were intended as a reimbursement for some $500+ expenditures she made for others and charged to our joint cr cards and put that in her account.

I have all of that documented, but doesn't help right now...

I have my own checking, car ins, cellphone etc. She nets about 2400 a month me about 5000. She was furious the day I brought it up back in august...but she agreed. Whenever she complains about it....and threatens to not pay up....I tell her I will stop paying any "joint" bills we have. Cake eaters can buy their own friggin cake!

She could easily have a job that nets 2500 per month if she worked full time - and my L has already suggested there is a legal requirement for her to become self sufficient should she carry on down this path...

I just got off the phone with my W.

She loves to complain about my "style" of bill paying. I told her.... Everything is paid, I give the kids what they want and I gotta raise $ for a L...back off me!

Tell your wife the same thing!! She gets pissed....tell her this is what SHE wants not you!
I told my W I raised $4000 bux for my L......it's a little lie.....but it's more then her.

I told her the hardest decision I ever made for my family was to do this.....raise the $ and file on her....I wrote her a letter it's in my thread check it out. I sent it the day I filed.

You and your lawyer can hire an "occupational evaluator," who can impute income to your wife, whether she currently earns it or not. They test what she's QUALIFIED to do, and what is actually AVAILABLE IN YOUR AREA in that regard, and impute the income of that job to her, whether she's industrious enough to take it or not.

I'm PRETTY sure that someone with her child care responsibilities and qualifications, who's healthy and that has a strong back, can get a cashier's job at Jewel or Home Depot and take home about $1,200/month.
