You and your lawyer can hire an "occupational evaluator," who can impute income to your wife, whether she currently earns it or not. They test what she's QUALIFIED to do, and what is actually AVAILABLE IN YOUR AREA in that regard, and impute the income of that job to her, whether she's industrious enough to take it or not.

I'm PRETTY sure that someone with her child care responsibilities and qualifications, who's healthy and that has a strong back, can get a cashier's job at Jewel or Home Depot and take home about $1,200/month. \:\/
