Ok ladies. I caved. I called H a bit after lunch. Quick and upbeat. I started thinking that I didn't want him to think I was not calling on purpose. I just wanted it to be different from what he is so used to.

Anyway, after the intro I said you were saying this weekend that you didn't want to come home because you knew that I would be there, so after last night, I was thinking if you wanted a chance to be home, I could make some plans or find something else to do. He said No! We'll make those steaks tonight, and spend some time talking. I will spend the evening with you. Hmmm. Guess I'll keep my PMA and see what happens. Cautious optimism here.

I know sometimes you just have to call.

Talk about confusion. My H said the same thing about dinner last week remember. Then he has been very interested in what we are having for dinner on nights we are supposed to be home. Also contradicts himself a lot. Needing to work OT but keeps scheduling for days when I won't be home. So much for needing space? LOL. Just keep you PMA and smiling.

1hope,

Yes, make sure he sees your smiling face while he is eating great beef!! LOL
The calling is something I had to work on at first, but I don't want him not to answer me if he is with OW. Since he goes there on breaks and lunch and there isn't a set time I never know. He doesn't answer OW when he is with me, so I don't want to make him do that for her too. It is good to be optimistic, but always cautious!

I think the last time that I called him was Oct 10th, so that's a record for me.

I do want him to think about me, but I don't want him to think I'm not calling out of manipulative intent. A fine line there I guess.

He sounded sincere when I talked to him on the phone. We'll see who comes home. I will be smiling and positive no matter who shows up for dinner.

I'm still trying to decide. No sign of the alien, so that was good. But it wasn't happy H that was with me last night. It was baby H. The whining, achy, I'm such a mess H.

You'd all be proud. I met him with a smile and kept it up all evening.

Dinner was wonderful. Ribeye steak and venison tenderloin with pan fried mushrooms in a red wine glaze. Also salad and Keylime pie for dessert. It was the best dinner that we have made in a long time and I enjoyed every bit of it.

H was happy to see when he got home form work that the contractor that is going to do our flat work had delivered some equipment yesterday, so they will probably be starting on it today. We watched the weather channel during dinner and I could see where all of you look to be in the path of rain. H was unhappy that it might hit us next before all of the concrete is finished.

Also, he asked if I still would like to go test drive the truck tonight, "or don't you want to do that anymore?" I said yes, I will if you want to. So, we have that to look forward to.

He woke me up early this morning so that we could spend some extra time in the hot tub. It was cold out and we had a heavy frost. We came in and I helped him with his lunch. He thanked me and gave me a quick kiss goodbye.

Back to tiny baby steps.

Yes whiny, achy. I know that H too. I swear they must all come from the same place.

I'm glad you got to spend some extra time this morning and dinner sounds delicious. I miss venison. Used to have it a lot as a kid when uncle would go hunting.

H tries to get several deer each year. Right now is bow season. We mostly process our own meat by freezing and canning. The only thing that we take to be processed is meat to have made into sausage sticks.

This venison is all from our own fields, and is hay and corn fed. People that say they don't like venison have never had this. If you like beef, you will like this.

Ok, I'm making myself hungry, so I had better stop. Still a couple of hours away from lunch time.
